Condensing Unit Equipment Replacement Modifications
Reclaim: Removal of all refrigerant in the existing system.
Disposal: Dispose of the failed unit at the property and the dispose of the reclaimed Freon up to EPA required standards.
Slab: Properly sized concrete pad under the new outside condensing unit to keep the unit off the ground and to protect it from dirt, debris and standing water.
Whip: High voltage electrical wiring connected from service disconnect to condenser in proper conduit.
Service Disconnect: Installed within sight of the unit, allows power to be turned off to the unit for safe servicing.
Service Breaker: Installed inside of the service disconnect, breaker size is determined by the required minimum and maximum rating amperage of the new condenser.
Low Voltage Conduit: Protects the low voltage wires running from thermostat to condenser, the wires fit inside conduit.
Line Set Modification: Modifying copper lines from wall to condenser to fit properly and neatly.
Armoflex Line Insulation: Insulate Freon lines to prevent weathering or condensation from leaking on ceiling or in walls.
Start Kit: Adds electric boost on compressor when starting, causes less stress on compressor which can prolong the life of the unit.
Liquid Line Drier: Used to stop small debris in lines from getting into coil and causing restriction at TXV or piston.
R-410A Conversion: Converting the existing system from the phased-out R-22 refrigerant to the new environmentally safe R-410A refrigerant.
